Downtime is typically something we treasure, but are you truly doing what you can to cash in on yours?
With all we have going on, it is easy to not be as intentional with those moments we have to ourselves. I get the desire to want to move from a productive and busy state to one of mindless consumption. But, there is a balance we should be considering for how to spend these coveted blocks of time.
Bottom line: How we spend our time - even our downtime - impacts the overall quality of our lives.
Don't get me wrong, consuming isn't inherently bad as it is a fuel for creativity. It is the quality, balance, and purpose that makes the difference. When done mindlessly, consuming has us in a passive and distracted state. It can lead to feelings of being unfulfilled, reactive, or unproductive. Whereas creating shifts us into a state of purposeful action and joy, leading to a more fulfilling and proactive life.
So, whether you are an entrepreneur, leader, or aspiring to be, it's time to find a healthy balance between producing original work and taking in information, entertainment, or inspiration.
We invite you to join us for this mindset reset with Accelerate Successfully Founder and Business Coach, Kim Kleeman, and leave inspired to get intentional on how your downtime is spent.
