3nd Annual KidLITapalooza: a mini book festival for kids in grades 1st - 6thÂ
and their grownups*!
Calling all bookworms going in to grades 1st - 6th! KidLITapalooza was created just for you. Anderson’s Bookshop offers rising 1st - 6th graders an opportunity to celebrate children’s books by learning and doing what makes them great: Words + Pictures + Imagination = Books!
We’ll take a journey through each of these elements, with three grade-appropriate sessions on each element, led by teacher tour guides and supported by authors.  Kids will be divided up into three groups (A/B/C) within each grade level (1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, 5th/6th), so not all kids will experience the same sessions, but by the end of the day, each will play with words, pictures, and imagination.
This is not a drop-off event; all kids must be accompanied by an adult! Our goal is to offer activities that kids can do on their own, but if your child would benefit from a parent or adult staying with them the entire time, we welcome that plan. Otherwise adults are welcome to attend book talks and shop our pop-up bookstore.
Please note that this event is for children. The activities are all specific to those entering grades 1 - 6. Educators who love children's literature are invited to attend LITapalooza the day before!
